Why
is intimacy often more difficult as an adult than it was as a child?
Perhaps
it's because we are now smarter, sophisticated grown ups.
We
put armour around ourselves to protect us from being hurt, from feeling
vulnerable, even sometimes from just feeling.
But
is that really smarter?
Perhaps
the layers of protection are also keeping out something that deep down
we all crave for.
Dropping
the protection racket
In
The Intimacy Workshop participants have the chance to
express and share honestly what they are feeling moment to moment, and
see what happens.
Does
it make other people move away, as you feared, or do they actually come
closer?
In
exploring the subtle movements in this dance of intimacy, we will learn
that we dont have to stick to the image we usually present in order
to be seen, respected and loved. Loved just for our own authentic selves.
This
is a chance to practice taking emotional risks, dropping the barriers,
and in the process discovering that many of the precautions we use in
order to feel safe are longer be needed.
By
playfully and honestly expressing ourselves, we lose the fear of love
and become open to new dimensions of intimacy.
We
will discover that vulnerability is a truly life affirmative experience
to be cherished, not avoided.
Are you open to being open?
Understanding
and communicating with the opposite sex is usually a pretty
difficult job...
But not if you understand yourself, and the unconscious conditioning that
runs your own life.
Then, with a few clues about the different ways male and female brains
are wired, and function, plus an understanding of the role genetics and
hormones play in our reactions and behavior, you are well on the way to
better communication, understanding and relations with that mysterious
opposite sex.
In the course, Understanding
Men, Understanding Women, we explore,
in a playful but deep way, the different conditionings, biological and
chemical triggers, and language of men and women, that lead to so many
misunderstandings.
And we will discover how to bridge those differences without losing the
excitement of opposites.
There
are also meditations to take us beyond both, because meditation is concerned
with the very essential core of your being, which is neither male nor
female.
